Aditya ChaudhuriLeading competitive games and esports company ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced a new partnership with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), which will see the launch of the inaugural season of FIBA’s official NBA 2K23 tournament — eFIBA.
eFIBA previously had three successful FIBA Esports Open editions in 2020 and 2021. The tournament will have seven online regional events across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
The dates for the Regional Qualifiers and the Regional Finals are as follows:
Regional Qualifiers
- January 20: eFIBA 2023 Qualifiers Asia
- January 21: eFIBA 2023 Qualifiers Africa
- January 22: eFIBA 2023 Qualifiers Europe
Regional Finals
- January 24: eFIBA 2023 Finals Asia (Middle East & South East Asia)
- January 24: eFIBA 2023 Finals Africa
- January 25: eFIBA 2023 Finals Americas (North & South America)
- January 25: eFIBA 2023 Finals Europe
30 National Federations will be taking part and fight out for the Conference Champions title. Each team will have a minimum of five players.

These upcoming seven tournaments will provide National Federations with the opportunity to compete against the best eBasketball national teams in the world, building on the momentum created from the FIBA Esports Open events in 2020 and 2021.”
