Iga ?wi?tek: Brand endorsements

Iga ?wi?tek is a professional tennis player from Poland. Since turning professional in 2016, ?wi?tek has won four Grand Slam titles, including the 2023 French Open, and has achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 1. With 14 WTA titles and four Grand Slams, she has already cemented her place as one of the women to beat in the WTA Tour setup. 

In this article, we take a look at Iga ?wi?tek’s brand endorsement deals:

current endorsements

ON

ON is an athletic shoe and performance sportswear company based in Switzerland that designs and markets sports clothing and running shoes.

In March 2023, ?wi?tek announced the signing of a partnership deal with ON Running. As per the deal, ?wi?tek sports both ON clothing and shoes. 

Visa 

In August 2023, ?wi?tek became the first tennis player to sign a sponsorship deal with global payments platform Visa, becoming one of its global ambassadors.

As a Visa global ambassador, ?wi?tek collaborates with other sportspersons that have signed up with the American company ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics Games.

International Management Group (IMG), the agency that has been representing the four-time Grand Slam-winner for nearly a year, announced this deal via its Instagram account on August 17, 2023. However, the length and the financial terms of the same were not disclosed.

OSHEE 

OSHEE is a Polish isotonic drinks and food products company based in Kraków.

In February 2023, ?wi?tek announced the signing of a personal endorsement deal with OSHEE. As per the deal, she features on OSHEE’s packaging and is also involved in the company’s global marketing campaigns. 

Porsche

Porsche is a Stuttgart-based German automobile manufacturer specialising in high-performance sports cars, SUVs and sedans.

In June 2023, ?wi?tek, the then-reigning Porsche Tennis Grand Prix champion, announced via a Tweet that she’d be joining the Porsche family as an ambassador.

Tecnifibre

Having previously used the Prince Textreme Tour 100 racquet in her junior days, ?wi?tek signed a contract with French sports equipment manufacturer Tecnifibre at the end of 2020.

?wi?tek uses the Tecnifibre T-Rebound Tempo racquet, which is specially designed for female tennis players.

Lego 

Lego, a Danish plastic construction toys company, roped in ?wi?tek as a brand ambassador for Poland in January 2024. 

Infosys 

Infosys, an Indian multinational information technology company, announced a multi-year partnership agreement with ?wi?tek in August 2023.

As a global brand ambassador of the company, ?wi?tek promotes the company’s digital innovation solutions and inspire women around the world.

Previous Deals

PZU

The PZU Group, which is one of the largest financial institutions in central and eastern Europe, signed a deal with ?wi?tek in early 2021.

?wi?tek endorsed PZU during her Grand Slam, WTA Tour, and Olympic outings. 

Asics

?wi?tek ended the 2020 season on a high. With her surprising French Open title win and her sponsorship deal up for renewal by the end of the year, ?wi?tek was awarded with an upgraded deal by Japanese company Asics.

?wi?tek’s association with Asics began at the start of 2020 on a one-year deal, with performance-related bonuses included in the contract. However, after a three-year run, ?wi?tek left Asics to join Swiss company ON Running in March 2023. 

Nike

American clothing and sportswear giant Nike did a serious culling of the herd at the end of the 2019 season, and the players affected were mostly from the women’s game. Ajla Tomljanovi?, Maria Sakkari, Iga ?wi?tek, Borna ?ori? and Eugenie Bouchard were some of the players that were let go from Nike’s roster.

Sakkari and ?wi?tek later joined Asics at the start of 2020.

Rolex

Swiss luxury watchmaker Rolex signed up ?wi?tek as a brand ambassador in February 2021.

As a child, ?wi?tek watched Roger Federer lift major trophies, and his Rolex watches remained engraved in her memory as an integral part of those historic moments.

“I am thrilled to join the Rolex family. This partnership is really inspiring for me and makes me realise how far my journey went – from being a kid and watching on TV how Roger holds the trophy with his timepiece on a wrist to having my own (timepiece, not the trophy[yet?]),” wrote ?wi?tek when she was unveiled as a Rolex ambassador.

Red Bull

?wi?tek was the first female ambassador from the tennis roster of Austrian energy drink maker and distributor Red Bull.

Before roping in ?wi?tek, Red Bull had tied up Austria’s Dominic Thiem, Italy’s Matteo Berrettini and the USA’s Reilly Opelka as global brand ambassadors. 

Xiaomi

Chinese techno giant Xiaomi roped in ?wi?tek as a brand ambassador at the start of 2021.

When unveiled as a Xiaomi ambassador, ?wi?tek said: “You know that tennis is my passion and I want to show you how sport can develop and change your life. I want to share with Xiaomi fans what I do, how I prepare and how I pay. Maybe I will instil a passion for this wonderful sport in you.” 

Lexus

Japanese automaker Toyota’s luxury division Lexus’ association with ?wi?tek goes back to 2018, when she was still playing at the junior level.

?wi?tek’s success in the 2018 French Open girls’ doubles category and her subsequent Wimbledon girls’ singles title attracted attention from many a corporate giant, including Lexus, which tied her down to a deal following her rise.
