It is the country’s most-followed sport despite the national sport being Hockey. They are currently in the top 3 cricketing nations in the world in all the 3 formats of the sport and have amazing athletes playing for them with the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and many more. Let us take a look at the list of sponsors associated with the BCCI i.e. the Indian Cricket Board:
Paytm – The Indian Cricket team signed a sponsorship deal with One 97 Communications Pvt. Ltd. (Paytm) in 2019 who acquired this deal with a winning bid of INR 326.80 Crores. The deal will be valid till the 2023 season.
Byju’s – Indian company Byju’s have signed a team sponsorship deal with the BCCI which saw them replacing Oppo as the main team sponsor for the Indian team in 2019. It is a three-year deal which will end in March, 2022.
Star Sports – The Indian Cricket team media rights had been acquired by Star Sports India in 2018 as they beat the likes of Sony and Jio in the e-auction and won the media rights at a price of INR 6,138.1 Crores. They will be broadcasting all the Team India matches till 2023.
Dream 11 – The fantasy sports app Dream 11 has signed a sponsorship deal with the BCCI last year as their official partners for the Indian Cricket team. They were also recently given the title sponsorship of the famous IPL 2020 season.
Hyundai – Korean Automakers Hyundai had signed a sponsorship deal with the Indian Cricket team making them their official car partners. The new deal signed in 2019 with the BCCI has extended their partnership till March, 2023.
Ambuja Cement – The BCCI had signed a four-year deal with Indian Cement manufacturing company Ambuja Cement making them their official partner for all the Team India matches from 2019 to 2023.
MPL Sports – Athleisure wear and Sports Merchandise brand MPL sports have signed a sponsorship deal with the BCCI making them the Indian Cricket team’s official kit partner starting from the India-Australia series in November 2020 till the year 2023. The sports brand will provide training and Matchday kits for the team.
