The Indiana Pacers, an American professional basketball team based in Indianapolis, Indiana, compete in the NBA as a member club of the Central Division of the Eastern Conference. The Pacers became a member of the NBA in 1976.

According to Forbes 2020, the Pacers are estimated to be the twenty-second most valued franchise in the NBA, having a net worth of US$1.525 billion.

The Indiana Pacers have indulged in a variety of sponsorship deals that have helped them in maximising exposure and getting a good return on investment. Let us look at the team’s sponsors.

 

Official Partner: Socios.com

Socios.com, the leading blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry, signed a partnership with the Indiana Pacers as their Official Partner in October 2021.

In regards to this agreement, Socios.com gains visibility with branding below the home and away bench chairs. It also acts as the presenting sponsor in the post-match photo galleries. Socios.com also holds monthly fan polls across all Pacers social media channels.

 

New Naming Partner: Gainbridge

For the 2021/22 NBA season, the famous arena of the Indiana Pacers was officially renamed from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Gainbridge was announced as the new naming partner of the Indiana Pacers in September 2021.

Gainbridge is a Group 1001 company. It is a self-managed digital platform that provides access to trusted financial products.

The Pacers-Gainbridge partnership was announced via the Pacers’ social media handles and a press conference held at the training center.

The partnership allows Gainbridge, an Indianapolis-headquartered company, to continue expanding its brand. It also brings together two organisations aligned on making intentional investments to improve the lives of children and families and strengthen the city and state they call home.

 

Mobile Partner: GameOn

In November 2020, GameOn announced the Indiana Pacers as its NBA partner as the team aimed to create new fan experiences through the Facebook Messenger. This content campaign allows the Pacers’ social media team to keep their fans apprised with all team news, highlights, and game updates. This service allows the fans to chat in real-time with their brand and get insights from the players.

 

Official Beer Partner: Yuengling

In April 2021, the Indiana Pacers announced Yuengling as their official craft beer partner in a deal that provided both organisations creative branding opportunities.

Yuengling aims to become the most exciting fan destination on the main concourse. Looking out into the bowl, fans can catch the action on eighteen televisions while catching all of the Pacers’ on-court action. The Yuengling Flight Deck is due to open in time for the 2021-2022 Pacers season as part of Fieldhouse of the Future Phase 2 renovations.

 

Official Sports Gaming Partner: PointsBet

In August 2020, the Pacers announced a partnership with PointsBet, a premier global sportsbook operator, as their official sports gaming partner as part of a multi-year deal.

As part of the agreement, PointsBet is visible in the ‘Apron’ area, which is between the baseline and the team bench. In addition, the logo is prominently visible on phone charging stations and along with the scorer’s table. PointsBet also has a presence on some Pacers digital platforms.

 

Official Jersey Sponsor: Motorola

The Pacers signed a multi-year deal with Motorola in 2018, which made the midwest mobile communications company their first-ever jersey patch sponsor.

Alongside being visible on the Pacers’ jersey, Motorola also serves as the presenting partner for the team’s official mobile application and has social and digital presence among the fans.
