The Delhi Capitals (DC) has revealed that JSW Group would be the team’s primary sponsor until 2023. During the Indian Premier League, the JSW logo will be visible at the front of the team’s shirt. The JSW Group first joined forces with the team in 2020.

Commenting on the association, Parth Jindal, chairman, and co-owner of Delhi Capitals said, “The fact that JSW is rapidly increasing its consumer-facing businesses across steel, cement and paints also calls for the JSW brand to be more visible and there are few properties that garner the viewership of the IPL. DC embodies the same zeal, desire and hunger as JSW and thus we are proud to be the principal sponsor of the Capital city’s IPL team and wish them all the best for IPL 2020.”

Jayant Acharya, Director – Commercial, Marketing and Corporate Strategy, JSW Steel, said: “The IPL and the IPL brand has weathered the pandemic storm, and successfully ensured that brand value creation continues. At the close of the IPL in 2020, through our advertising mix on TV and Digital, JSW Group reached out to more than 125 Million of our audiences which made a strong case for the extension of this association. We also achieved strong growth in our brand awareness scores driven slowly by our association.”

The JSW Community is a regular part of the Indian sports environment, which has established multiple connections to sports teams, athletes and bodies. JSW Group is the Bengaluru FC’s biggest sponsor and manages Indian sports figures like Rishabh Pant, Neeraj Chopra, and Bajrang Punia.

The $12 trillion JSW Group has branched out into various companies, including JSW Cement, JSW Paints, and JSW Neosteel, and its main sponsorship contract is planned to promote the Delhi franchise. This partnership reflects the growing consumer-facing companies in the fields of steel, cement, and adhesives in the JSW Group.
