Sophia Smith is an American professional football player who plays for the Portland Thorns FC. At the age of 22, Smith has already climbed the ladder of success to emerge as one of the standout young talents in women’s football right now.

At the age of 19, Smith became the youngest player ever to be drafted in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), and, within a couple of years, she has gone on to become an NWSL champion with the Portland Thorns while also winning the 2022 NWSL MVP Award for her outstanding performances.

Despite her age, Smith is already one of the key players in the star-studded US Women’s National Team (USWNT) setup. In this article, we take a look at her sponsorship and brand endorsement deals.

Nike

Smith was roped in by American sportswear and sports equipment giant Nike in 2019 on a multi-year contract as part of a footwear sponsorship deal. 

Ally Bank 

Ally Bank is the digital-only banking division of Ally Financial Inc. The leading digital financial services provider roped in the USWNT forward as a partner and brand ambassador in May 2023. 

BioSteel 

BioSteel Sports Nutrition is a Canadian company based in Toronto that produces dietary supplement products for athletes and exercise enthusiasts. A subsidiary of Canopy Growth Corporation, BioSteel announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Smith in April 2023. 

Bud Light 

Bud Light is a light lager-style beer brewed by Anheuser-Busch. Smith announced her association with Bud Light via a social media post on her Instagram account in April 2023.

Soccer.com

Soccer.com is a privately-owned American football retail business. Established in 1984, Soccer.com provides the best gear and accessories for football players, fans and referees. In October 2022, Smith and Soccer.com announced that they had signed a multi-year partnership deal. 

Glaceau Smartwater 

Glaceau Smartwater is a brand of bottled water owned by Energy Brands, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company. Introduced in 1996 in the US, it is one of the top five brands of bottled water in the country. In July 2022, Smith posted on her Instagram account to announce the signing of a deal with the company.

Chipotle 

Chipotle is an American chain of fast-casual restaurants established in 1993. In June 2022, the California-based company announced the signing of Smith as an official brand ambassador on a multi-year deal. 

Hyperice 

Hyperice is an American recovery and mobility enhancement technology company founded in 2011. The California-based company roped in Smith as a partner in July 2021. 

Excedrin 

Excedrin is an American brand that provides medication for fast relief from headaches and migraines. Being someone who suffers from migraine herself, Sophia Smith started endorsing the brand in August 2021.
