BWT Alpine Formula One Team have agreed to a global partnership agreement with Layer One blockchain infrastructure BlockDAG in an attempt to increase the reach of Web3 tech in the mainstream motorsports space.
The partnership debuted at the recent Singapore Grand Prix and will entail collaboration on several activations and fan engagement initiatives going forward, including interactive fan zones during Grand Prix weekends, fan simulators and curated experiences, computer programmer events and developer showcases, digital integration into F1 for decentralised Web3 tools, and presence of the French outfit at major blockchain conferences and community events.
Guy Martin, Global Marketing Director, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, said:
“We are excited to welcome BlockDAG to BWT Alpine Formula One Team. This new partnership allows the team to continue expanding its wide variety of innovative technological collaborations with BlockDAG, a strong addition. The game-changing technology championed by BlockDAG – linking the speed and versatility of DAG technology with standard blockchain technology – resonates perfectly with the ground-breaking work required by BWT Alpine Formula One Team at the pinnacle of motorsport.”
Antony Turner, CEO of BlockDAG, added:
“Partnering with BWT Alpine Formula One Team allows us to showcase the power of DAG technology on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages. Together, we will deliver experiences for BWT Alpine Formula One Team fans enabled by BlockDAG technology that live long in the memory.”
