ASUS partners with Saudi Esports Federation

Gaming hardware company ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced a new partnership with the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF). The deal will see ASUS partner with the SEF to sponsor the Saudi eLeagues and the Gamers8 event.

ASUS will receive brand exposure and also a booth at the eight-week Gamers8 event, which will be held in Riyadh in July. Gamers8 is set to be “the largest esports and gaming event worldwide” and will feature not only esports competitions but also comedy shows, music concerts, magic shows and also a forum which will have industry leaders and experts. The event will have esports events featuring PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Dota 2 and Rocket League and will have a prize pool of US$15 million. The event will be held at the newly built Riyadh Boulevard Metropolis.

Khaled El Shikh, the KSA Business Development Manager at ASUS, said:

ASUS Republic of Gamers is delighted to partner with the Saudi Esports Federation and thrilled to be a part of the groundbreaking Gamers8 event this summer. ROG was founded with the goal of creating the world’s most powerful and versatile gaming laptops in the industry, and we look forward to helping everyone attending Gamers8 take their performances to new heights.

Omar Batterjee, Head of Communications, Marketing, Partnership of the Saudi Esports Federation, added:

We are delighted to welcome ASUS Republic of Gamers as a partner for Gamers8 and Saudi eLeagues, and thank them for pledging their support to the esports and gaming sector in Saudi Arabia.

Gamers8 is set to be an incredible, showpiece spectacle in Riyadh this summer, blurring the lines between the physical and virtual worlds, and providing elite esports action, concerts, shows and activities for all ages. We look forward immensely to seeing you all there.

The partnership will also see ASUS provide PCs to the Saudi eLeagues.
