The Los Angeles Clippers are an American professional basketball team founded in 1970 in Buffalo, New York, as an expansion team called the Buffalo Braves. The Clippers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a Western Conference Pacific Division member.

After moving from Buffalo to San Diego, California in 1978, the team were rebranded to San Diego Clippers before moving to LA in 1984 and becoming the Los Angeles Clippers.

In this article, we take a look at the companies and organisations that serve as the Official Sponsors/Partners to the Los Angeles Clippers — a western conference basketball team competing in the NBA — and enjoy a strong branding presence across its physical and digital assets.

Aspiration

Aspiration, a provider of service solutions for consumers and companies, and the LA Clippers announced a multi-year relationship in September 2021, which named Aspiration as the first Founding Partner of the Intuit Dome, the future home of the Clippers.

Aspiration received physical and digital signage elements, activations that promote sustainability, hospitality elements, and more as the Intuit Dome’s first Founding Partner and a team partner of the Clippers. Aspiration also became the presenting partner of the Clipper Nation MVP Program, which provides special advantages to season ticket holders.

Aspiration also collaborates with the Clippers’ Mentorship Assist Zone programme, which offers education and career exposure to underprivileged youngsters in southern California.

As per reports, the Clippers signed the 23-year deal with green bank Aspiration for a whopping US$300 million.

Globant

In October 2022, the LA Clippers and Globant, an IT software and development business, announced a multi-year cooperation to assist in the integration of the digital road map for the Intuit Dome, the team’s new home opening in Inglewood in 2024.

As the Clippers’ partner in digital transformation, Globant will connect the technology necessary to realise their vision for the Intuit Dome, with an emphasis on reducing friction and forging seamless connections that enhance the fan experience.

Pirnia Law

In-arena activations, a giveaway item, digital and social components, hospitality, and synergies throughout the Los Angeles community are all part of the collaboration.

Pechanga

The LA Clippers made Pechanga Resort Casino, a 200,000-sq-ft casino in California, their exclusive tribal casino as part of a multi-year agreement in October 2022.

In order to honour the partnership, the Clippers gave Pechanga officials a jersey during their pre-season game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Crypto.com Arena.

Therabody

The LA Clippers partnered with massage therapy device company Therabody in April 2021. Through this partnership, Therabody works directly with the team, helping them improve the recovery of Clippers players. Each player receives different care based on his position, and Therabody creates custom protocols to benefit each player.

Therabody gave the Clippers players access to use Theragun PROS and Wave Rollers during games and practices. The team are also allowed to use Therabody’s compression technology, RecoveryAir.

Betway

In March 2021, online gambling and betting company Betway revealed sponsorship agreements with seven NBA and NHL teams.

Furthermore, Clippers CourtVision tests Amazon SageMaker in order to create, train and deploy machine learning-driven statistics that are shown during live broadcasts and on-demand NBA game recordings.

Vivid Seats

In August 2018, the LA Clippers and North American ticket provider Vivid Seats announced their partnership, the latter becoming the Clippers’ official ticket provider starting with the 2018–19 season.

The multi-year agreement included integration with AXS, the Clippers’ ticketing service provider since 2017, allowing fans to easily buy and sell tickets on Vivid Seats and the AXS Marketplace.
