Manchester City Football Club have announced a multi-year partnership with global sports drink brand Lucozade, bringing it on board as their Official Sports Drink Partner.
The deal will showcase Lucozade products, including player bottles and ice coolers, during all domestic home fixtures and training sessions for the Man City men’s, women’s, and academy teams at the Etihad Stadium, the Joie Stadium, and the City Football Academy.
Additionally, Lucozade’s branding will feature on the LED advertising displays on matchdays.
Kaitlyn Beale, Vice President Global Partnership Sales at City Football Group, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Lucozade as our new Official Sports Drink Partner. As a brand recognised for performance and innovation, Lucozade is a natural fit to partner with the club and we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring as we continue to strengthen our elite performance environment across the coming seasons.”
Matt Riches, European Head of Sponsorship for Lucozade, said:
“Keeping players hydrated and helping them refuel to carry on to the final whistle is what Lucozade was made to do. We’ve been synonymous with football and part of the fabric of the sport in this country since the start of the Premier League, supporting players and fans through every moment. Partnering with Manchester City, which is known for its footballing innovation, is an incredibly exciting next step for our brand.
“Lucozade takes a unique approach to its football partnerships, supporting both the men and women’s team for every club it sponsors – a commitment it has been proud of since it started supporting the England men and women’s teams back in 2007.”
