Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team announce long-term Meta AI partnership

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team have announced a long-term partnership with US tech giant Meta, thus introducing Meta AI as an Official Team Partner.

As per the agreement, the German outfit will leverage Meta AI tech to enhance fan experience both on and off the track, allowing them “to analyse race strategies, share predictions with friends, create and remix your race day images and videos, or revisit some of the season’s most exciting moments”, as well as offer contextual insights and interactive features.

Additionally, the Meta AI logo will feature on the race helmets of Mercedes’ drivers.

Toto Wolf, Team Principal, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, commented:

Partnering with Meta AI introduces new capabilities that support how we think, prepare, and perform as a team. The ability to process data more efficiently and uncover deeper insights is a valuable asset in a sport where success is determined by marginal gains. It’s a natural fit to work with a partner who shares our commitment to continuous improvement and precision.

Alex Schultz, CMO & VP of Analytics at Meta, added:

Bringing Meta AI to Formula 1 with Mercedes means fans can engage with the sport in smarter, more personalized ways—right from the apps they already love. As an F1 fan myself, I’m excited to see how people use AI to get closer to the action and connect with the sport like never before.

Richard Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, stated:

We’re pleased to welcome Meta AI into our partner ecosystem. Their expertise in artificial intelligence opens new ways to connect with emerging audiences and deepen engagement with our global fanbase — helping us better understand, anticipate, and respond to fans across the globe.
