The Philadelphia 76ers are a professional basketball team from the United States that was founded in 1946 as Syracuse Nationals, one of the first teams to be included in the NBA. The 76ers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as an Eastern Conference Atlantic Division member.

The 76ers have won 3 NBA Championships, with their first coming under their previous name, the Syracuse Nationals, in 1955. The second title came in 1967, a team which was led by the franchise’s biggest Hall of Famer, Wilt Chamberlain. The third title came in 1983, won by a team led by team’s famous duo, Erving and Malone.

In recent years, the Philadelphia 76ers have struggled in the Playoffs, their last appearance in the Conference Finals was in the 2000-2001 season, in which they ultimately lost the NBA Championship to the LA Lakers. Here, we look at Philadelphia 76ers’ Sponsors.

Official Jersey Patch Sponsor

Crypto.com

Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com teamed up with the Philadelphia 76ers in September 2021 to serve as the team’s jersey patch sponsor. 

Since the 2021–22 season, the company’s emblem has been present on all four sets of the Philadelphia 76ers uniforms. The 76ers and Crypto.com also disclosed the creation of the group’s first NFT, which is offered for sale on the website. 

Additionally, Crypto.com produced an NFT line based on the Philadelphia 76ers’ City Edition jerseys, which made their debut in November 2021. During 76ers home games at the Wells Fargo Center, the business also receives branding on the team’s playing court and on courtside LED screens.

Official Sports Drink

BioSteel

In December 2020, BioSteel, a sports nutrition company founded in 2009, made an announcement about cooperation with the 76ers. As part of the multi-year agreement, BioSteel also partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex, becoming the team’s official sports drink.

Official Casino

Parx Casino

The Philadelphia 76ers made an announcement about an expansion of their agreement with Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, which would bring them even closer to Parx Casino and the mobile betting app betPARX. 

As a result of the agreement, the 76ers now have betPARX and Parx Casino as official banner partners. The team and Parx Casino, their official casino partner, now work together to throw watch parties for various games during the season. These occasions take place in the Parx Casino Liberty Bell Beer Garden and come with a drink ticket and a voucher for a slot machine.

Official Healthcare Partner

Penn Medicine

The Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia-based healthcare provider Penn Medicine established a multi-year relationship in September 2022. Through this exclusive collaboration, Penn Medicine is recognised as the team’s official hospital, orthopaedic and healthcare partner. 

The 76ers and Penn Medicine collaborate on community engagement projects as part of this agreement in order to promote health equity and lessen inequities.

Official Betting Partner

BetMGM

In October 2022, US-based sports betting platform BetMGM announced a partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers, becoming the official betting partner of the team.

As per the partnership, at all 76ers games, the basket pole pads display the BetMGM logo. The 76ers app also features BetMGM commercials in addition to casino betting games with 76ers branding on BetMGM.

Official Dentist

Dentistry For Life

Philadelphia-based Dentistry For Life is the official dentist of the Philadelphia 76ers. The two work on multiple initiatives together. 

Official Radio Broadcasting Partner

97.5 The Fanatic

97.5 The Fanatic has been a partner of the Philadelphia 76ers since 2012. Since the agreement was renewed in 2017, the radio station has served as the team’s official radio broadcast partner, offering commentary for each 76ers match in addition to pre-game, half-time, and post-game shows.

David Auto

The Pennsylvania-based automotive company is the official vehicle provider of the Philadelphia 76ers. David Auto released a YouTube video on October 26, 2017, to acknowledge the partnership with the caption, “Let’s go Sixers!

Kia

The NBA, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and the NBA G-League all have South Korean vehicle company Kia as their official automotive partner. The Philadelphia 76ers and 12 other NBA teams — the Atlanta Hawks, the Charlotte Hornets, the Chicago Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Detroit Pistons, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Miami Heat, the New Orleans Pelicans, the New York Knicks, the Orlando Magic, and the Phoenix Suns — are partners with Kia as a result of this agreement.

Official Spirit

Hennessy

Through a multi-year collaboration, cognac merchant Hennessy was named the official spirit of the Philadelphia 76ers in March 2021. 

The collaboration allows Hennessy to promote its products through in-arena signage at the Wells Fargo Center, digital and social activations on the team app, and a virtual chat streamed across 76ers platforms.

Official Chip

Herr’s

The Pennsylvania-based snack food company is the official chip of the Philadelphia 76ers. With the partnership, Herr’s has released limited-edition 76ers-themed potato chip packets.

Official Real Estate Partner

Houwzer

In April 2022, Philadelphia-based real estate firm Houwzer announced a partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers, becoming the team’s official real estate partner.

Official Partners

Amtrak

National US passenger railroad company Amtrak announced a partnership with four NBA teams — the Boston Celtics, the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Washington Wizards — in November 2022.

Through their collaboration, the four teams use social media, digital contests and in-arena advertising to spread the word about the advantages of train travel and Amtrak’s “Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging” programmes.

Betway

The Philadelphia 76ers and Betway established a multi-year relationship in October 2021, making the global online sports betting company an official partner of the group. 

As per the deal, Betway signage is visible on team bench aprons, courtside LEDs and basket stanchion LEDs throughout the 76ers’ regular-season home games that are locally aired. Signage next to the scorers’ table that is visible on television also displays Betway’s marks.

Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A, an American fast-food chain, is an official partner of the Philadelphia 76ers. In October 2022, the 76ers announced the “Bricken for Chicken” campaign, similar to Wendy’s “Frosty Freeze Out” promotion, and appointed Chick-fil-A as the presenting partner for the same.

According to campaign rules, fans earn free food if an opponent misses two consecutive free throw attempts in the second half of a home game. Fans receive five nuggets the first time it occurs. If it happens a second time, fans receive an eight-count, and if it happens a third time, a 12-count is made available.

Five Below

The American chain of speciality discount stores is also an official partner of the Philadelphia 76ers. 

In partnership with Five Below, the Philadelphia 76ers announced their first Kids Club in April 2019, in which children aged between 4 and 14 were eligible for membership to the new club and were offered a 76ers-branded backpack and lanyard, a Spalding NBA-regulation basketball, two “Ballin’ Ben” T-shirts and a US$5 Five Below gift card.

Coors Light

Coors Light, an American beer, is also an official partner of the Philadelphia 76ers. Both organisations introduced “The Round on Us” Playoffs campaign in April 2019. At participating sites in the Philadelphia market, all spectators who were 21 years of age or older had the opportunity to get one Coors Light prior to the start of Game 1 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Giant

The Philly-based supermarket chain and the Philadelphia 76ers established a multi-year agreement in October 2019, the deal placing a strong emphasis on community involvement. 

As a result of the collaboration, Giant gained access to the 76ers’ stadium and the ability to create new promotions for 76ers supporters in the Greater Philadelphia area.

LegalZoom

LegalZoom, an American online legal technology company, partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers to launch the “Spirit of Small businesses” programme in October 2022. 

As per the deal, LegalZoom supports a year-round campaign in collaboration with the 76ers that spotlights the Greater Philadelphia small business community while also providing entrepreneurs with a motivating platform and honouring regional small business leaders. 

Throughout the 76ers’ campaign, LegalZoom is to offer free goods, legal services and training to entrepreneurs as part of the “Spirit of Small Business” programme in order to assist them in starting, expanding and managing their small businesses. Local companies also have the chance to expand their reach and visibility across the digital and social media platforms of the 76ers and LegalZoom.

LifeBrand

The Philadelphia 76ers and brand-building technology startup LifeBrand established a multi-year relationship in November 2021, the latter becoming an Official Team Partner of the 76ers. 

All 76ers and Delaware Blue Coats employees have access to LifeBrand’s brand-mindful products and platform thanks to the collaboration. 76ers fans, Season Ticket Members and Premium Events, as well as courtside, basket stanchion, and 360-degree arena halo LED signage at home games, provide additional dynamic exposure for LifeBrand.

NBC Sports

The Philadelphia 76ers collaborated with NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus and PointsBet to launch in November 2022 BetCast, which is a series of sports betting presentations featuring the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2022–23 season.

Moravia Health

The Philadelphia 76ers announced in September 2021 a multi-year partnership with Moravia Health, a Philadelphia-based in-home healthcare service, making it one of their Official Partners. 

As part of the collaboration, the 76ers ran an in-arena campaign called Healthcare Heroes”, which was presented by Moravia Health, at ten home games during the 2021-21 regular season to recognise two healthcare professionals for their ongoing dedication to maintaining the safety and health of the Philadelphia community.

NovaCare

NovaCare, a Healthcare solution firm, partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers during the COVID-19 outbreak to help the local community in 2020. 

RedBull

The Philadelphia 76ers and RedBull, a global energy drink company, are also official partners. To kick off the collaboration, RedBull worked with Philadelphia-based visual artist Glossblack to create a mural in March 2022 that portrayed Matisse Thybulle.

Rush Order

Rush Order, an e-commerce retail company, became an official partner of the Philadelphia 76ers in October 2016. The multi-year deal resulted in 76ers T-shirts being printed in Philadelphia by Philadelphians at a Philadelphia-based company.

Socios.com

Socios.com, a global blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry, and the Philadelphia 76ers announced in July 2021 an official team partnership. 

Starting with the 2021–22 season, Socios.com has been an official team partner of the 76ers and has access to the team’s trademarks and logos in addition to being integrated into advertising and TV-visible signage throughout the arena during the 76ers’ games.

Stroehmann

The Philadelphia 76ers and Stroehmann Bread, a Philadelphia-based bread brand, also have in place an official partnership. Stroehmann launched an endeavour with Tobias Harris, one of the team’s biggest talents, both on and off the court in the third year of their cooperation.

Verizon

In January 2021, the Philadelphia 76ers announced telecommunications services provider Verizon as an official team partner as part of a new multi-year agreement. Verizon is designated by the arrangement as the team’s sole 5G mobile partner as well as the presenting partner of the 76ers Official Mobile Application. 

Additionally, the agreement offers Verizon Up members special chances to receive 76ers rewards and VIP experiences.
