The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have announced a partnership with Waaree Energies, a solar PV module manufacturer and provider of solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services and independent power producer (IPP) solutions.
The partnership makes Waaree Energies RR’s Principal Partner for the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The company’s logo will thus feature on the front of the Royals’ playing and training kits along with other franchise assets, while the two parties will also collaborate on various initiatives and campaigns throughout the season.
Alok Chitre, COO of the Rajasthan Royals, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Waaree Energies to the Royals family as our Main Principal Partner. This partnership is a strong reflection of our philosophy of transforming society through cricket and cricket through innovation. Waaree’s leadership in driving the global energy transition aligns seamlessly with our commitment to building a forward-looking, purpose-led franchise. Together, we aim to set new benchmarks in how sport, innovation, and purpose-led partnerships intersect, while driving meaningful impact within communities. Through this association, we look forward to harnessing the Royals’ global platform to drive visibility, engage fans, and build a legacy that extends far beyond the field.”
Hitesh Doshi, CMD of Waaree Energies, added:
“In India, cricket is not just a sport, it is a powerful cultural force that connects and influences millions. Our partnership with Rajasthan Royals enables us to take the message of clean energy from industry corridors to the hearts of people across the country. At Waaree, we believe the energy transition must be inclusive, aspirational, and visible to every Indian. This association marks a proud milestone for us. As India advances towards global leadership in clean energy, it is critical that this movement extends beyond businesses and becomes a people’s movement. Rajasthan Royals, with their strong global following and community-driven ethos, offer an ideal platform to amplify this vision. Together, we are not just supporting a team we are championing a larger purpose of accelerating India’s journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.”
