Sydney Thunder extend Homestar Finance partnership

Big Bash League (BBL) side Sydney Thunder have announced a three-year extension of their partnership with Australian non-bank lender Homestar Finance, which will thus remain their Principal Partner.

Homestar Finance will continue to have its logo featured on the front of the Thunder playing shirt, cap, and helmet. The partnership renewal will be celebrated by an innings-break lighting show, with Homestar Finance serving as the Presenting Partner.

Homestar will also continue to hold the naming rights for as well as support the Thunder’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island T20 Cup Team.

The partnership between the two first began in 2017. Homestar Finance also acts as an Official Partner of the Thunder’s Women’s Big Bash League WBBL team.

Trent Copeland, General Manager, Sydney Thunder, commented:

We are tremendously proud to have Homestar Finance continue strengthening the already strong relationship with Sydney Thunder, both on and off the field. Homestar’s highly regarded reputation for prioritising its customers through personalised service aligns perfectly with our respect for Sydney Thunder members, supporters and the community of Western Sydney. This has been a long-term partnership and there is no doubt Homestar are an integral part of our fabric, as evidenced by their commitment to cricket clubs in the Thunder Nation, our match day experience at ENGIE Stadium and so many other initiatives.

Ilias Pavlopoulos, Co-founder and COO of ColCap Financial Group, said:

Sydney Thunder is committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Our enduring collaboration has provided opportunities to support a variety of local initiatives, from community days to volunteering time and charitable donations. Cricket embodies our shared values of sportsmanship, inclusivity, and teamwork. By partnering with Sydney Thunder, we can promote these values nationally while contributing to the sport’s growth for both women and men, ultimately enriching local communities.
