AFC signs scouting rights deal with Catapult

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has recently announced a new scouting rights partnership with sports technology firm Catapult.The partnership will see Catapult provide their video scouting and analysis to professional football organisations with the goal of helping Asian teams reach international heights. Catapult will also provide the clubs, federation and scouts with enhanced access to match content and performance insights.

The partnership which goes on until the end of the 2028/29 season will cover AFC’s full portfolio of senior and youth national team and club competitions including FC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, the AFC Champions League Elite, the AFC Champions League Two, the AFC Women’s Champions League, the AFC U23 Asian Cup Japan 2028 as well as the U20 and U17 national team competitions.

“In line with our Vision to ensure Asian teams excel on the global stage, this arrangement with Catapult allows us to showcase the immense talent pool within our continent. By providing clubs and scouts worldwide with seamless access to high-quality video and data, we are strengthening the professional foundation of Asian football and opening up new development pathways for our footballers.”
