Aston Martin’s esports team will be heading into the V10 R-League 2022 with a brand new line-up. The new line-up will see Alejandro Sanchez and Simon Weigang join Maunel Biancolilla as the team look to go one better from making the finals last season.
Sanchez, who has previously raced in the Porsche Esports Supercup, was also the Racing Unleashed Champion in 2021. Sanchez additionally has won the Piloto Michelin 2019, which gave him a chance to test Formula 3 and GT4 cars. He is coming into the Aston Martin team with plenty of experience and expectations.
Simon Weigang, on the other hand, who has previously been with the esports teams of Renault, Haas and Alfa Romeo, will be partnering Sanchez and Biancolilla for the V10 R-League which will see the drivers race at the Monza, Mugello, Spa-Francorchamps, Yas Marina Circuit and Silverstone circuits.
The V10 R-League will see a total of ten teams divided into two leagues, with the top teams from each league heading to the playoffs and then becoming the champions.
The V10 R-League is one of the three esports series that the Aston Martin Formula One Esports Team compete in, along with the SRO Esports and the F1 Esports Pro Championship.
