Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team partner with Meccano

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team have announced a licensing partnership with construction set brand Meccano.

The partnership will see Meccano develop officially licensed construction sets for F1 fans and building enthusiasts alike, aiming to combine the British outfit’s performance-driven design and technical innovation with its engineering system with the models for authentic design with realistic mechanical functions, including working steering, a fully functioning engine and moveable DRS.

Aston Martin have thus become the first-ever Formula One team to partner with Meccano. The “Meccano Pro x Aston Martin Formula One Car” will be available globally from August 2026.

Matt Chapman, Head of Licensing and Merchandising, Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team, said:

Engineering excellence sits at the heart of everything we do at Aston Martin Aramco. Our license agreement with Meccano allows us to translate the complexity of our race car into a tangible experience for fans, celebrating both innovation and craftsmanship in a unique and engaging way. We’re also proud that we are the first Formula One team to collaborate with Meccano on a licensed product.

Dave Martin & Mary Price, Co-founders of Addo Play, added:

This collaboration represents an important step in the evolution of Meccano under Addo Play. It has been fantastic working with Aston Martin, and the great partnership and strong collaboration behind the Meccano Pro x Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Car showcases our commitment to premium engineering builds for fans and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for licensed products within the Meccano portfolio.
