Club Atlético de Madrid have extended their partnership with Madrid-based brewer Mahou San Miguel, which becomes the first-ever Official Sponsor of the Ciudad del Deporte, which will be built around the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, their home ground.
The partnership has been extended until 2035, with Mahou San Miguel brands Mahou Cinco Estrellas and Solán de Cabras continuing to support the club.
Enrique Cerezo, President, Atlético de Madrid, said:
“An alliance between Atlético de Madrid and Mahou San Miguel which goes beyond sponsorship, was born more than 50 years ago. It is an historic relationship built on trust and mutual respect. Mahou has been by our side for many years at the Estadio Vicente Calderón, demonstrating trust and compromise. We have been together during the good times and the bad and, without a doubt, they have been part of the rojiblanca family for a long time.“
Eduardo Petrossi, CEO, Mahou San Miguel, said:
“For years, we have been part of the same landscape, celebrating victories, sharing dreams and the pride that is transmitted from generation to generation”. Life is made up of intertwining encounters and stories. Some stories begin in an unexpected way and cannot be told separately because they come from the same place, beat to the same rhythm and share the same passion. This is the history of Madrid, of Atlético de Madrid and of Mahou San Miguel.“
Miguel Ángel Gil, CEO, Atlético de Madrid, added:
“Thank you for being by our side on this journey for many years. I think that, as a result of technology, we can create content and that, thanks to our facilities, we can offer experiences. The result of this development that we are aiding is that it allows us to be a different club, and always hand in hand with the Mahou San Miguel group.“
