ATP announces LONGi partnership

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has signed a long-term partnership agreement with solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions provider LONGi. The agreement was completed with the help of Chinese sports development company Juss Sports.

The partnership will see both the ATP and LONGi work towards supporting the former’s sustainability goals. LONGi has also announced that, during the 2023-24 season, it will collaborate with the ATP during multiple events in Asia, Europe and the Americas, which will include tournaments such as the Rotterdam Open, the Chile Open, the Miami Open, the Madrid Open, the Halle Open, the Laver Cup, the Japan Open, the Shanghai Masters and the ATP Finals.

Massimo Calvelli, ATP Chief Executive, commented:

Climate change is having an impact on our sport, from hotter temperatures to extreme weather. Addressing this is our most important challenge. Longi shares our commitment to sustainable development and our collaboration will support transition to a net zero future.

Dennis She, Senior Vice President of LONGi, said:

We are thrilled to be collaborating with the ATP Tour as official solar energy and hydrogen partner, with the support of Juss Sports. We are excited to jointly bring about healthy, shared, and sustainable low-carbon events through the platform so that everyone may enjoy green sports under the sun.
