Italian Formula One team AlphaTauri have announced bike company Basso Bikes as their Official Bike Supplier.
As per the agreement, Basso Bikes, which is based out of Vicenza, Italy, will supply the AlphaTauri drivers with racing bikes for their fitness training programmes as well as road and gravel e-bikes to other team members.
Fabian Wrabetz, Marketing and Communications Director of Scuderia AlphaTauri, commented:
“Basso is a symbol of Italian authenticity. Performance, strength, and elegance are the unmistakable hallmarks of Basso bikes, making each one a precious “Made in Italy” product. That is why Basso is the perfect partner for Scuderia AlphaTauri. We are delighted to welcome Basso to the team, with both our marques representing Italian heritage in the Formula One paddock.”
Leonardo Basso, Basso Bikes Marketing Manager, said:
“As a technology and innovation enthusiast who grew up surrounded by mechanics and carbon fibre, Formula 1 represents the highest peak, the maximum expression of engineering development. Scuderia AlphaTauri boasts a prestigious history, and it is no coincidence that some of the stars of Formula 1 – including Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz – have seen their talent blossom right here. What pleasantly surprised me was discovering the enthusiasm and curiosity towards our bikes from the AlphaTauri team.
“Two worlds much closer than they seem, sharing a cultural background made up of Italian spirit and authenticity, vision, and talent. This is the first time that Basso Bikes enters into a partnership with an F1 team. We are proud and honoured having chosen Scuderia AlphaTauri, supporting its mobility at the track, as well as the drivers’ training programmes.”
