Bitget announces PGL partnership

Bitget to sponsor CS:GO and DotA 2 PGL Majors in 2022.

Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has been announced as the Exclusive Cryptocurrency Partner of the CS:GO PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and the PGL DotA 2 Major Arlington 2022.

The partnership will allow Bitget to maximise its reach and ‘narrow the gap between crypto and other industries to establish cryptocurrency as a source of investment for all’. Bitget previously was a partner of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and the upcoming partnerships will be the second time the two parties will have joined forces together.

Sandra Lou, CEO of Bitget, commented:

We are pleased to partner with PGL on its CS:GO RMR and Major, following our sponsorship for PGL Major Stockholm 2021 back in October 2021.

We are always eager to partner with like-minded partners to strengthen our foothold and position in the rapidly evolving crypto space. After our successful partnership late last year, we are confident we will be able to reach new heights with PGL as we continue to achieve dual synergies.

Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL, added:

When establishing partnerships, trustworthiness continues to be one of the biggest priorities for us. We are pleased to be able to once again receive support from Bitget for our upcoming events. We hope that these partnerships will promote the growth of both industries and with a partner like Bitget, reach even higher goals in the years to come.

We believe that there are strong synergies between both esports and crypto and we are elated to be charging this path with a partner like Bitget.

James Lee, Bitget’s Global Strategy Officer, stated:

The spirit of exploration and innovation is at the core of Bitget’s culture, and we are always looking for the best partners in various fields to breathe new life into Bitget in order to better serve our audience. And the PGL Stockholm Major 2021, will be a tremendous help in increasing Bitget’s brand power and influence.

At the same time, I think what is driving this partnership is that we both recognize the value of competitive games. For example, we have opened registration for our first global trading competition, the King’s Cup Global Invitational (KCGI), in the middle of this month, with a total prize pool of 100 BTC, so stay tuned.

Founded in 2018, Bitget already has partnerships in the esports industry with Team Spirit and also a sports partnership with Italian football club Juventus.
