The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) has signed a sponsorship arrangement with Saudi Arabian energy company Aramco. The agreement, which runs for two years, makes Aramco an official partner of the CBA.

About this partnership, Aramco stated:

“We have a long history of encouraging sport, and our sponsorships of international sporting events and organizations reflect our values of excellence, innovation, and community. We firmly believe that our sponsorships have the power to create a lasting, positive impact in the world of sport, which in turn enriches lives and fuels competitive dreams.

“That is true in China, where we have extensive business partnerships and investments spanning refining, chemicals, retail fuels and research and development, which are enabling economic growth in one of the world’s largest economies.”
