ART Grand Prix have signed Chloe Grant as the final driver for their F1 Academy line-up. The 16-year-old British racer will join Léna Bühler and Carrie Schreiner at the French team.
Grant, who started karting at the young age of seven, won the ESKC Junior Championship in 2017. She then became the youngest driver to get the Motorsport UK Junior Racing Driver License in 2020 and won the CKRC and BWRDC Kart Sport Championships the same year. In 2021, she raced in the Junior Saloon Car Championship and in the GB4 Championship the following year.
Chloe Grant spoke about joining the team, stating:
“I am really excited to contest this season with the ART Grand Prix. We share the same ambition for winning and with the history and victory that ART Grand Prix carries, I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together. It’s a privilege to join their long list of successful and talented drivers. The F1 Academy presents an opportunity to us female drivers that we haven’t seen before, and I know we have a competitive inaugural grid. I can’t wait to get started!“
Sébastien Philippe, Team Principal, ART Grand Prix, said:
“ART Grand Prix is happy to accompany Chloe in her first year of international competition. Last season, she showed a glimpse of her talent and determination, which had already enabled her to have a great career in karting. This development corresponds perfectly to the philosophy of our Company, which is proud to participate in this new sporting and individual journey.“
