Cricket Ireland signs Amul as sleeve sponsor for 2022 T20 World Cup

Ireland’s cricket-governing body Cricket Ireland has signed an agreement with Indian dairy giant Amul, the latter becoming the sleeve sponsor of the Ireland men’s national cricket team for the upcoming 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Amul will receive branding rights as the “Official Men’s Team Sponsor” of Cricket Ireland for the competition taking place in Australia beginning on October 16, 2022.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr Jayen Mehta, Chief Operating Officer for Amul, said:

“Amul is delighted to continue our association with cricket through the Irish men’s cricket team. The T20 World Cup is one of the biggest global tournaments the sport has, and we have been a part of it before. It’s great to be back in it with a team like Ireland’s who play an exciting brand of cricket that is sure to enthrall the fans. T20 is an energetic format that resonates well with the vibrancy that Amul as a brand represents and we are looking forward to a great campaign.

Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Ireland, Warren Deutrom, added:

“We are pleased to feature such a prestigious company as Amul on the squad’s shirt at the men’s T20 World Cup. Support from commercial partners like Amul helps to create opportunities for Irish cricket to grow at all levels of the game and we thank them for their interest in the Irish game.

“Thanks also to our partners at ITW Consulting who supported the establishment of this partnership.”
