India’s leading E-Sports platform, Mobile Premier League (MPL), has become a proud sponsor of Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). As Virat is also this brand’s ambassador, if MPL plays its cards right, it can surely extract a lot from this association. MPL’s logo has also found a place in RCB’s official jersey; it has been put on the pants that the players will be wearing for practice and match days.
“We are delighted to have Mobile Premier League as one of our partners. RCB’s biggest strength lies in the love and support the team gets from their fans and it would be exciting to open avenues for them to engage with the team and we share this ethos with MPL of being committed to our fans to bring continuous at-home cricket experiences for them,” said RCB Chairman Sanjeev Churiwala.
Since in the lockdown situtation, there won’t be any spectators on the field, MPL wants to keep entertaining the various fans of cricket through their application that offers a variety of gaming options.
“This is a great opportunity for us at MPL to associate with the Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB is one of the strongest teams in the IPL led by Virat Kohli, our Brand Ambassador, and is also one of the most recognized brands in the country with a huge fan following. RCB’s philosophy of #PlayBold is shared by us and Virat as well, and we hope to become a household name in India with our IPL associations,” said Abhishek Madhavan, Vice President, Growth and Marketing, MPL.
Founded in September 2018 by Sai Srinivas Kiran Garimella, Shubham Malhotra, MPL is operated by Bangalore-based Galactus Funware Technology Pvt. Ltd. In IPL2020, the brand will be sponsoring the Kolkata Knight Riders.
