ESL Gaming announces Snapdragon Pro Series

ESL and Qualcomm kick-off their partnership with launch of new series

Esports tournament organiser ESL Gaming has announced the launch of the Snapdragon Pro Series, a global mobile esports ecosystem, as part of its partnership with processor manufacturer Qualcomm.

The series is set to have three different competitive tiers:

  • the Snapdragon Mobile Open featuring PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 9: Legends and Legends of Runeterra,
  • the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge featuring Clash of Clans, Free Fire and League of Legends: Wild Rift, and
  • the Snapdragon Mobile Masters, which will be the highest tier and feature Brawl Stars.

ESL had recently partnered with PUBG MOBILE to integrate the PUBG Mobile Club Open into the Snapdragon Mobile Open for the North American, European and MENA regions. The six regions (North America, Europe, the Middle East, China, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific) will have their own set of game titles. The EU, MENA and NA players will be competing in PUBG Mobile, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Asphalt 9: Legends, while the Asia-Pacific region will feature Brawl Stars, Free Fire, League of Legends: Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra. Details about the Snapdragon Pro Series in India and China are yet to be released.

The series is set to get underway from April 12 with a total prize pool of US$2 million. The final stages of the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge in the NA, EU, MENA and Asia-Pacific regions along with the Snapdragon Mobile Masters event will be live and in-person for the competitors and audiences alike.

Kevin Rosenblatt, General Manager, Mobile at ESL Gaming, spoke about the launch of the Snapdragon Pro Series, commenting:

The Snapdragon Pro Series gives players in multiple regions, at all levels, a chance to become a champion and compete for a share of more than $2 million in prize money.

The mobile ecosystem we are building with Snapdragon Elite Gaming will span multiple genres, with titles that are relevant in the core regions: North America (NA), Europe (EUR), the Middle-East & North Africa (MENA), China, Asia-Pacific (AP), and India.

We can’t wait to see the world’s best players battle it out. We have truly created an inclusive ecosystem where everyone can compete. Whether you are a casual player or a seasoned competitive pro, we are looking forward to welcoming you into the Snapdragon Pro Series!

Earlier in the year, Qualcomm Technologies had announced a new partnership with ESL Gaming.
