Esports World Cup Foundation teams up with Level Infinite

The Esports World Cup’s non-profit arm, the Esports World Cup Foundation, has announced a partnership agreement with Tencent-owned video game publisher Level Infinite.

The three-year deal will see Level Infinite’s PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings titles join the Esports World Cup’s esports ecosystem.

The deal will see more than 1,000 PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings events hosted in 2024 to provide a platform for players across all skill levels. The two parties will also work together to “cultivate a competitive, player-centric environment”.

PUBG Mobile will launch the “PUBG MOBILE World Cup” with Esports World Cup, which will feature a US$3m prize pool, while there will also be the inaugural “Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason | Esports World Cup”, which will have 12 teams fighting it out for a US$3m prize pool.

Vincent Wang, General Manager, Tencent Games, commented:

The global esports sector is experiencing exponential growth. As a brand, we are committed to facilitating game development and nurturing the next generation of game titles and esports athletes, fostering a community centred around inclusivity, connectivity, and accessibility.

Ralf Reichert, CEO, Esports World Cup Foundation, added:

At the Esports World Cup Foundation, one of our core missions is to build a sustainable global esports infrastructure so fans can enjoy our sport for generations to come. Our partnership with Level Infinite directly supports that mission, adding two of the most-played games to the Esports World Cup program for players and fans across the globe.
