Partnership to be focused around the MENA region.
Esports tournament platform FACEIT has announced the signing of a multi-year partnership with Jordanian esports organisation FATE Esports.
The partnership will be MENA-region focused and will initially be wholly focused only on CS:GO. The collaboration will see the launch of the ‘Levant and North Africa’ CS:GO Hub on the FACEIT platform. FATE will also create the ‘FATE Esports Clan on FACEIT’ for the FATE fans.
Speaking about the partnership, Mohammad Majali, FATE Founder and CEO, commented:
“Our focus has always been to strengthen and accelerate the growth of esports in the region. Our relationship with FACEIT comes full circle in light of this partnership as the platform has played an integral role in building FATE players throughout the years.
“We look forward to this new venture and bringing our fans and supporters together with FACEIT.”
Cem Mollao?lu, FACEIT Partnerships Manager, added:
“As FACEIT grows, we aim to keep building new ways that esports organisations can utilise our tools to engage with their fans more effectively and scout new talent directly from their community while providing a safe and fair environment. Our partnership with FATE is another example of this mission.”
Although FATE’s partnership is only CS:GO-focused currently, it does not rule out the fact that the partnership could cover other games as well in the future.
The FATE partnership comes following FACEIT’s acquisition by the Saudi Arabian government-backed organisation Savvy Gaming Group earlier this year and its subsequent merger with ESL Gaming.
