FC Barcelona Sponsors 2024/25

This article contains information regarding the organisations working with the men’s and/or women‘s teams of Futbol Club Barcelona as their sponsors and partners for the 2024/25 season, thus enjoying a strong branding presence across their assets.

PRINCIPAL PARTNERS

Nike

The Barça-Nike synergy goes all the way back to 1998, when the American sportswear giant replaced Italian rival brand Kappa as Barcelona’s Official Technical Partner. Since then, the two have reached new heights both on and off the pitch and have given us some memorable jerseys.

In May 2016, Barça’s then-president Josep Maria Bartomeu announced an extension to Nike’s deal with the club, which would see the Oregon-based company continue to serve the club as their Official Technical Partner until 2028. This deal, though, was not meant to be signed until July 2018, when Nike’s then-existing deal expired.

Nike signed a new contract with the club during the 2018/19 season. Currently, Nike reportedly pays Barça €100 million every season, with potential add-ons taking the amount to €155 million. The company, however, earlier in 2024, had sought to terminate the deal over what it claimed were “breaches” in the contract. Although Nike won the court proceedings, the deal will still have to be carried out until 2028

In August 2024, reports from several outlets in Spain emerged citing both Nike and Barça were working behind the scenes on a new extension deal.

Spotify

Spotify, a Swedish audio streaming and media service provider, announced signed a multi-year partnership agreement with FC Barcelona in March 2022. As part of the four-year deal, Spotify acts as the main partner of the club as well as their official audio streaming partner.

The deal entails Spotify’s branding appearing on the front of the Barça men’s and women’s teams’ matchday and training shirts, which it has since the start of the 2022/23 season. Spotify also holds the naming rights to Barça’s home, which is thus formally called the “Spotify Camp Nou”.

Ambilight TV

In May 2023, FC Barcelona announced the signing of a new partnership agreement with TP Vision, which is responsible for designing, manufacturing, and selling Philips TV, Philips Sound, and AOC Audio products. As part of the deal, its brand Ambilight TV acts as the main partner of the club for TV, display, and sound devices.

Konami

In June 2019, Japanese video game company Konami renewed its deal as the official video game partner of FC Barcelona via its football simulation video game series Pro Evolution Soccer (now eFootball) for four more years.

The deal sees Konami hold rights to feature fully-licensed Barça assets, including players, kits, and stadiums, in eFootball.

While eFootball‘s main rival, EA Sports FC (formerly EA Sports FIFA), holds rights to feature Barça’s crest, kits, and players via its circumventing licensing deal with LaLiga, Konami holds exclusive rights to Camp Nou, which at the moment does not feature in FC releases.

The summer of 2021 found Konami’s deal with the club mired in controversy when a video emerged of two then-Barça players—Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé—mocking two Japanese technicians who were fixing the television in the players’ room while the team were on a pre-season tour in Japan in 2019. The two could be heard making pejorative comments about the technicians’ appearance and the manner in which they spoke. Konami put out a statement in July 2021 in which it stated that Griezmann, whom the company had announced as a Yu-Gi-Oh! ambassador only a month before, had his ambassadorship terminated with immediate effect.

In July 2021, Konami announced a complete overhaul of their flagship football simulation offering, making it a cross-platform, free-to-play game called eFootball. Barça’s deal with Konami has persisted through the rebrand.
