Foxtel renews Indian Premier League (IPL) partnership

Australian pay-television company Foxtel has announced a long-term renewal of its partnership with the Indian Premier League (IPL). The five-year extension will see Foxtel broadcast the IPL on Fox Sports and the Kayo Sports streaming platform till the end of the 2027 IPL season.

The renewal will have the entire IPL tournament on Foxtel channels, with the network broadcasting all 74 of the current season’s games.

Foxtel has been the Exclusive Broadcast Partner of the IPL in Australia for more than a decade now.

Rebecca McCloy, commercial director for sport at Foxtel Group, commented:

The IPL changed the game more than fifteen years ago and boasts a premier product that attracts intrigue and interest from cricket fans all over the globe. This extended partnership with the IPL complements and bolsters our already unrivalled cricket offering for subscribers – with fans able to watch all of the big games in one place on Fox Sports.

Apart from the IPL, Foxtel also holds the joint domestic rights to international cricket in Australia till 2031 as part of its agreement with Cricket Australia (CA), which was confirmed in January 2023.
