Hobart Hurricanes renew Hobart Airport partnership

Cricket Tasmania has confirmed that Hobart Airport has signed a two-year partnership renewal agreement to remain the Official Coaches Partner of the Hobart Hurricanes.

The partnership, covering both the men’s and women’s teams of the Hurricanes, entails a “seamless” travel experience for the teams’ players and staff, with the airport also serving as a venue for pre-game media conferences for “key” Hurricanes away matches.

Ali Turner, Partnerships and Infrastructure General Manager, Cricket Tasmania, commented:

In today’s professional cricket landscape, where travel is a constant, partnering with Tasmania’s premier airport is a natural fit. The renewal of this partnership for another two years highlights Hobart Airport’s strong commitment to the Hobart Hurricanes and the broader Tasmanian cricket community. It is also an exciting time to be aligned with Hobart Airport, as their major redevelopment takes shape, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more fans from around the country to Hurricanes matches this summer.

Matt Cocker, COO, Hobart Airport, added:

Hobart Airport is proudly on board the Cane Train for another two years. Every time the Hurricanes take to the field, they bring thousands of fans together for a sporting and social spectacle like no other. This is what Hobart Airport is all about, connecting communities.
