Juventus Football Club have announced a strategic partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the American professional wrestling and entertainment company.
The partnership is aimed at developing original experiences, content, and activations to bring together football, sport, entertainment, and global fan culture. It was launched with the Juventus mascot Jay and WWE Superstar Jey Uso through co-created content.
During the recently concluded WWE event “Clash in Italy”, which took place in Turin, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was given a custom-made Juventus jersey, and exclusive merchandise was sold at the venue (Inalpi Arena), such as a “WWE x Juventus Championship” title belt.
The partnership will see the two work on a host of activities, including co-branded merchandise and cross-promotional activations, crossover content, creator-led storytelling, and integration of WWE and Juventus talent into “key cultural moments”.
Additionally, fan engagement activities, events, and international activations will also take place in accordance with the agreement with the goal of building “recurring cultural moments that connect football, entertainment and the next generation of fans.”
