LaLiga signs regional deals with Disney+ and DAZN

LaLiga, Spain’s topmost football division, has roped in Disney+ and DAZN as its Broadcast Partners in France.

Starting from the upcoming 2026/27 season and set to run until the end of the 2028/29 season, the regional agreement will see both DAZN and Disney+ bring ten matches each for every round of fixtures to the French audience, broadcasting all top-flight games across the 2026/27, 2027/28, and 2028/29 seasons.

Javier Tebas, LaLiga President, commented:

French fans have always had a special connection with LALIGA and our competition’s biggest stars. These agreements with Disney+ and DAZN mean fans across France will have easier access than ever to their favourite players, clubs and rivalries every week. We are delighted to begin this new chapter with two outstanding partners who share our ambition to deliver the best possible experience for football fans.

Brice Daumin, CEO of DAZN France, said:

LALIGA is one of the world’s most prestigious football competitions and we are proud to extend our partnership with the league to France. Together with the Ligue 1+ service, Serie A and our other international competitions, we now offer football fans in France one of the most comprehensive football packages on the market.

Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, said:

We’re excited to bring LALIGA to all Disney+ France customers in a fresh new way. LALIGA has a strong connection with football fans in France, with many French players making their mark in Spain alongside iconic clubs and unforgettable rivalries, making it a great addition. We can’t wait for our customers to enjoy coverage that feels exciting, different and made for football fans today.

Diego Londono, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Networks & Sports, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, added:

As ESPN on Disney+ continues to expand across Europe, bringing LALIGA to customers in France marks another important milestone. Building on our long-standing relationship with LALIGA, this agreement brings one of the world’s leading football competitions to even more fans. With its world-renowned clubs, exceptional talent and football played at the very highest level, LALIGA further strengthens our growing live sports offering on Disney+.”
