LaLiga, the top-tier professional football league in Spain, and Spanish multimedia communications company Mediapro have renewed their partnership.
As per the renewed deal, LaLiga retains Mediapro as its global audiovisual agency until the end of the 2028–29 season for all worldwide regions, except the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and North America, where the league already has regional sales partners.
Although the renewal’s financial information has not been made public, LaLiga asserts that it significantly improves the present economic environment and reflects its goal of expanding internationally. The previous deal saw Mediapro sell LaLiga’s international rights through 2024 under a deal reportedly worth €897 million approximately per season.
Mediapro released the following statement regarding its LaLiga partnership renewal:
“The close collaboration between LaLiga and GRUP MEDIAPRO, as its international agency, has made it possible to improve the positioning of the brand and increase the recognition of the competition and its media growth potential. Thanks to this line of action, LaLiga has become one of the most important international competitions, present on all the major world operators.“
