Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) have announced an extension of their partnership with Indian artificial intelligence (AI) platform Haptik.
The MI fan following has increased significantly because of the relationship between the Indian cricket franchise and the AI startup, enabling them to reach 1.5 million admirers in January 2021. The Haptik chatbot has contributed to a 94.2% automation rate.
Haptik was established in 2013. The company creates technology that enables businesses to create conversational AI systems that let people communicate with applications.
Speaking about the MI partnership extension, Aakrit Vaish, CEO at Haptik, said:
“Working with the Mumbai Indians and introducing innovative fan engagement is a huge source of pride for us. Fan engagement and fan loyalty are critical for the biggest sports franchises, like the Mumbai Indians, to get right. With our chatbot, the Mumbai Indians fans get a tailor-made experience that keeps them coming back for more. We are confident that our solutions will help the Mumbai Indians achieve tangible outcomes and take fan engagement to the next level.“
