NWSL announces Amazon partnership

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced a multi-year partnership agreement with global retail giant Amazon.

The partnership will see Amazon become the Exclusive Retail Sponsor of America’s top-tier women’s professional club football division as well as the Presenting Partner of its Best XI Awards.

With this deal, Amazon also becomes an official NWSL licensee. The league will also leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) tech to “transfer historical footage and surface highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage to enhance fan engagement.”

Julie Haddon, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, NWSL, commented:

Amazon’s global reach and customer-centric approach pairs perfectly with the NWSL’s fan-forward ethos. This partnership will not only amplify the NWSL’s fandom and growth, but will also offer our fans an easy and accessible way to support their favourite teams and athletes.
