Paris 2024 get Air Liquide support

Air Liquide joins as an Official Supporter.

Air Liquide, the French gas company, has been announced as an Official Supporter of the Paris 2024 Games and the Paralympic Games, both of which will be held in Paris, France. 

The partnership sees Air Liquide join as an Official Supporter in Hydrogen and the company will work towards reducing the events’ carbon emissions. Air Liquide will also provide hydrogen for the vehicles which will be transporting the athletes and officials. 

Host of the hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai, the official vehicle of Paris 2024, will be filled with hydrogen that will be supplied by Air Liquide.

Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024, commented,

“To ensure that we achieve our goal of making these Games more sustainable in response to climate change, we’ve rethought all the major features of the Games. By supplying hydrogen of renewable origin for the vehicles for athletes and officials, Air Liquide will help us reduce the carbon footprint of the Games.”

François Jackow, CEO of the Air Liquide Group, said,

“Air Liquide and Paris 2024 share the same ambition: implementing concrete solutions to meet the challenge of climate change. Beyond the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, this partnership will accelerate the wide-scale adoption of hydrogen to decarbonise heavy and intensive transport, including taxis. This challenge is huge, and it is only by working together that we will succeed.”
