Real Madrid have signed an agreement with Zegna to become the club’s Official Luxury Travelwear Partner, providing clothes for the men’s and women’s football and basketball squads as well as their respective technical teams, beginning with the 2022/23 season.
Zegna will benefit from the deal’s valuable product placement opportunities, allowing the brand to reach a global audience through the Spanish football team.
In accordance with the new contract, the Italian high-end clothing company will dress Real Madrid athletes for away games, with special concentration on Champions League trips.
Zegna will unveil the Real Madrid collection at an event in the city on September 30. Los Blancos will debut the new Zegna-designed gear in their opening Champions League away match.
Announcing the deal, a club’s statement said:
“Zegna recently revealed its new logo, which will get even more attention thanks to the partnership with Real Madrid. The new logo, which will be present on the outfits, is inspired by a double stripe that pays homage to the road known as 232, which begins in the mountains and runs through Oasi Zegna, the 100 square kilometres of unrestricted natural terrain in northern Italy that was created as a result of the founder’s earliest commitments to sustainability.“
Commenting on the deal, on their website, Zegna said:
“Entering a new chapter together, ZEGNA and Real Madrid share their history of excellence with an ethical stance, as they continue along a common road that stretches back more than a century. ZEGNA has partnered with Real Madrid to envision new Luxury Travelwear, featuring the Triple Stitch Sneaker and our modern style codes such as the double-stripe brand mark inspired by Our Road in Oasi Zegna.“
