Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been revealed as the owners of the Kolkata-based Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) franchise.
The ISPL, which is India’s first tennis-ball T10 tournament to be played inside a stadium, is scheduled to have its first season held between March 6 and 15 later this year.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan become the latest celebrities to be involved with the event, with actors such as Amitabh Bachchan (Mumbai), Hrithik Roshan (Bangalore), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar), Ram Charan (Hyderabad) and Suriya (Chennai) having already announced their participation in the league as franchise owners.
The couple jointly released the following statement on the matter:
