Sourav Ganguly inks massive deal with Star Jalsha

Indian former professional cricketer Sourav Ganguly has signed a four-year agreement with television entertainment channel Star Jalsha worth a whopping INR 125 crore.

The former Team India captain and former BCCI President recently stepped down as host of the quiz show Dadagiri and has left Zee Bangla. He is now set to take up the hosting duties for Bigg Boss Bangla alongside a new quiz show premiering on Star Jalsha in July next year.

On the cricket side of things, Ganguly is currently the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals and was recently announced as the Chairman of the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee—a post he previously held in 2021.

On joining Star Jalsha, Sourav Ganguly commented;

Television has always given me a special way to connect with people, and it gives me great pleasure to associate with Star Jalsha as we begin a new chapter of storytelling through innovative non-fiction programming. I’m thrilled to be hosting two exciting shows that celebrate both entertainment and intellect. I’ve always believed in the power of connecting with audiences beyond the cricket field, and this collaboration allows me to do just that-by exploring fresh formats and real stories that inspire and engage. It’s a new innings, and I’m ready to play it with the same passion I brought to the game.
