UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Sponsors 2023/24

Following are the organisations serving as sponsors and partners to the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) — the premium women’s club-football offering of European football’s governing body UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) — and enjoying a strong branding presence across its physical and digital assets for the 2023/24 season.

Euronics Group

Euronics Group is an international association of 11,000 independent electrical retailers across 37 countries. The electronic and home appliances retail group signed a four-year partnership deal in May 2021 to become an official sponsor of the UWCL until 2025. 

The partnership gives 22 international Euronics Group members the chance to support UEFA women’s football in each of their local markets by being sponsors of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO, the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 and Under-17 Championships, UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO, as well as UEFA’s “Together #WePlayStrong” programme, which is aimed at encouraging more girls and women to play football.

Grifols

Grifols, a Spanish multinational pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer that develops plasma-derived medicines and other biopharmaceutical solutions, signed a four-year partnership deal with the UWCL in July 2021.

As per the deal, Grifols serves as the exclusive healthcare company partner of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO and other UEFA women’s football competitions. 

Heineken

Dutch multinational brewing company Heineken signed a partnership agreement with the UWCL in August 2021, thus becoming an official sponsor of the competition starting with the 2021/22 season. 

The four-season partnership covers the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO, the UEFA Women’s Under-19 and Under-17 Championships, UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO, as well as UEFA’s “Together #WePlayStrong” initiative.

Takeaway.com

Dutch multinational online food ordering and delivery company Takeaway.com signed an extensive three-year partnership deal with UEFA in March 2021 to sponsor 12 club competitions during this tenure, including both the men’s and women’s Champions Leagues. 

Lay’s

Lay’s, a brand of potato chips from American multinational food and beverage corporation PepsiCo, signed a three-year extension deal with UEFA to be the official sponsor of the men’s and women’s Champions Leagues in July 2023. The partnership is set to run until June 2027. 

Visa

American multinational payment card services corporation Visa signed a multi-year partnership deal with UEFA in December 2018.

As part of the sponsorship, Visa supports women’s football at all levels — from grassroots development to the UWCL.

This agreement also includes events such as UEFA Women’s EURO, the UEFA European Futsal Championship, and the UEFA European Women’s Under-17 and Under-19 Championships until 2025.

Amazon

American multinational e-commerce and technology solutions company Amazon signed a multi-year partnership deal with UEFA in June 2023. 

Through this deal, Amazon serves as a sponsor to various UEFA competitions, including UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the Women’s Finalissima, UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO 2023, and the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championships.

Amazon also assists fans by working with UEFA on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) solution to promote the development of the sport and by creating the first-ever official UEFA Women’s Champions League online store.

Adidas

In October 2021, German sportswear and sports equipment giant Adidas was announced as the exclusive global sponsor of the UWCL coverage for sports streaming platform and global broadcaster DAZN as well as YouTube. The deal includes sponsorship advertising across all 61 live matches as well as related highlights and clips.

EA Sports FC

EA Sports announced a multi-year partnership agreement with the UEFA Women’s Champions League in October 2022. It unveiled the “Starting XI Fund”, described as an “Accelerator Fund” for women’s football designed to grow the game moving forward. 

To jumpstart the fund, EA Sports reportedly made an US$11m investment, incorporating in-game (EA Sports FC), league, club and athlete investments to continue elevating the women’s game. 

While announcing this deal, EA Sports had also announced that, beginning in 2023, it would fund a women’s football internship programme with each new and existing women’s league partner, which would be designed to inspire and empower young females from diverse backgrounds to become involved in the world of football.

Hublot

Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot signed a multi-year partnership deal with UEFA Women’s EURO 2021 and all other European women’s football competitions in February 2020.

The partnership also covers the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 and Under-17 Championships as well as UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO.

PlayStation

In March 2023, PlayStation, a video gaming brand owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment, signed a three-year partnership agreement with UEFA Women’s Football until 2025. 

Expanding its partnership which started in 1997 with the UEFA Champions League, the three-season deal sees PlayStation sponsor the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, the UEFA European Women’s Under-19 and Under-17 Championships, UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO and the “Together #WePlayStrong” initiative.
