Wrexham AFC partner with MatchWornShirt

Wrexham AFC have announced a multi-year partnership with MatchWornShirt.

Based out of Amsterdam, MatchWornShirt is a global fan engagement company that offers sports clubs around the world fundraising solutions by providing them a platform to auction off shirts worn by their players in matches.

The partnership, covering both the men’s and women’s sides of the club, will kick off with this weekend’s game between Wrexham and Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Championship, for which the Red Dragons will wear a “special-edition Legends Shirt”.

Rob Faulkner, Chief Business and Communications Officer, Wrexham AFC, said:

Wrexham AFC are on an incredible growth curve following a record-breaking three consecutive promotions, as is the Wrexham brand thanks to the exposure and success of the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series. I am pleased that thanks to this new partnership with MatchWornShirt we can offer our global fanbase the opportunity to access and own their very own unique piece of Club memorabilia. We look forward to officially launching our partnership with a set of special legends embroidered shirts that our players will wear in the EFL Championship match with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

James Flude, Head of Business Development at MatchWornShirt, added:

The growth of the Wrexham AFC brand over the last few years has been monumental, so we’re incredibly proud to have formed this partnership with them to provide their dedicated fanbase the opportunity to access one-of-a-kind memorabilia from the club. We constantly look to provide sports fans and collectors increased access to authentic pieces of sporting history, and we’re very pleased to have Wrexham onboard as our latest partner.
