Cadillac set to join from 2026
General Motors’ works team, Cadillac Formula One Team has officially received confirmation to join Formula One and will join the F1 grid from the 2026 season as the 11th team on the grid. The team is also backed by TWG Motorsports and is a part of the Andretti Cadillac project. TWG Motorsports will be running the team with them having offices in Indianapolis, Charlotte and Warren in the United States, and Silverstone in the UK.
The team will need to sign the new Concorde Agreement, which will come into effect from 2026 and will be the ninth Concorde Agreement.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, commented,
“As we said in November, the commitment by General Motors to bring a Cadillac team to Formula 1 was an important and positive demonstration of the evolution of our sport. I want to thank GM and TWG Motorsports for their constructive engagement over many months and look forward to welcoming the team on the grid from 2026 for what will be another exciting year for Formula 1.”
