Asian Football Confederation (AFC) partners with CommBank for Women’s Asian Cup 2026

The Asian Football Confederation has announced a regional partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank), bringing it on board as an official regional partner of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

As per the agreement, CommBank will offer kids the exclusive opportunity to serve as pre-match mascots and walk alongside players for every game of the tournament.

The 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup is scheduled to be held between March 1 and 21 next year, hosted by Australia in five venues across three cities.

Datuk Seri Windsor John, AFC General Secretary, commented:

CommBank is synonymous with the development of women’s football in Australia and the AFC is delighted to see them expand their footprint as we welcome them as an Official Regional Partner of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026. Their commitment to advancing the sport dovetails with the objectives of the AFC to strengthen the women’s game and together, we are confident that this partnership will leverage the power of women’s football to inspire and engage with more communities across the Continent.

Patrick Murphy, CEO of AFG, said:

The AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ will be the most attended in the history of the tournament, celebrating Australia’s diversity and the unifying power of football. Through partnerships like this, we’re inspiring millions and connecting communities across the region.

Monique Macleod, Group Executive Marketing and Corporate Affairs at CommBank, added:

We’re proud to support the AFC Women’s Asian Cup™ as it comes to Australia next year. It’s a celebration of the world’s game and a reflection of our nation’s diversity and spirit. Football is a unifying force and a game for all that brings people together and inspires belief. As the tournament returns to Australia, CommBank is excited to carry that legacy forward and help build a brighter future that reflects the spirit and strength of our communities.
