Ajinkya Rahane joins forces with Animated Series CricketPang as Brand Ambassador

Global character design and animation development company YouNeedCharacter has signed Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane as the brand ambassador for CricketPang, the soon-to-be-released original animated series.

With this association, the organization plans to launch initiatives to further promote cricket by providing scholarships to aspiring young cricketers. As a brand ambassador, Rahane will participate in all promotional events, such as CricketPang character IP promotion and cricket scholarship programs.

Commenting on the association, Rahane said: “An animation series on Cricket will be very interesting for children, especially when the narrative is interesting and the characters are cute. I feel an animated series like this will appeal to kids and it is a great way of promoting the sport. It is an interesting concept that convinced me to associate with the launch of CricketPang in the Indian market. I hope to have a long-standing association with the brand.”

Minsu Song, chief executive officer, YouNeedCharacter, said: “India is a country of cricket. It is the nation’s favourite sport and famous cricket players along with Bollywood actors are some of India’s most influential role models. Ajinkya is a top-class player who is loved and respected by the Indian audience, and his Seven million followers on Facebook justifies that. I am extremely happy and think it is very important that such an excellent and famous player has shown interest and has become the brand ambassador of CricketPang. With him, we not only plan to promote the CricketPang series and app but also other initiates, activities, keeping public interest in mind. Through these initiatives, we intend to support cricket by securing scholarships for promising young cricket players in India.”

CricketPang has signed its brand promotion and licensing company with Rooh Entertainment, a renowned Indian brand marketing firm. Ms Rutika Malaviya, Founder – Rooh Entertainment, launches and develops the CricketPang Brand Licensing Program in India.

As the official YouTube channel ‘CricketPang’ was released in mid-January and had over 18,000 subscribers and 4 million views, the scene of the enterprise for the early childhood education website is encouraging. Countries like India, Bangladesh, and so on, who are crazy about cricket, have seen it the most.

YouNeedCharacter aims to increase visibility in the short term through local media outlets, local networking, and successful collaborations with many local businesses in India. The initial launching phase could have a significant effect on the Ajinkya partnership. After the partnership of a cricket animation and a celebrity cricket match, some fascinating effects can be shown, too.
