Argentine national football team finds new partner in Ant International in Asia-focused partnership

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has announced a new partnership agreement with global payment, digitisation and fintech solution provider, Ant International. The deal will see Ant International become an Official Sponsor of the Argentine National Football Team in the Asia region barring the Middle East. The partnership will see Ant International gain marketing rights and will launch campaigns and activations through their brands – Alipay+, Antom, Bettr and WorldFirst, with the activations set to feature the Argentine national team players as well. 

Claudio Fabian Tapia, President, Argentine Football Association (AFA), commented,

“Football is the ultimate universal language. It serves as a powerful bridge that transcends borders and connects the entire world. Through this partnership, we are excited to bring that connection to an even wider audience in Asia.”

Leandro Petersen, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of AFA, said,

“This partnership is a commitment to long-term success and a strategic union of two global leaders. By joining forces, we aim to deepen our presence in Asia and achieve new heights in both sports and fin-tech.”

Peng Yang, Chief Executive Officer of Ant International, added,

Together we will bring more extensive and enriched football experience and community impact through our Asia fintech and digital services network.”
