Asia Cup 2025 | Match 10: Pakistan vs United Arab Emirates | Preview and Predictions

The tenth game of the 2025 Asia Cup brings us a decisive encounter between Pakistan and the UAE at the Dubai International Stadium on September 17, 2025.

For the game, here are our preview and predictions.

Asia Cup 2025 | Match 10: PAK vs UAE | 20:00 IST, September 17

This encounter could knock the losing team out of the tournament. Both sides are level on points with a win and a loss each, but Pakistan have a superior net run rate.

The Men in Green lost their recent encounter against arch-rivals India. Batting first, they could only manage a paltry total of 127/9 as the Indian spinners ran riot. Kuldeep Yadav (3/18) and Axar Patel (2/18) destroyed the Pakistani batting order, with Sahibzada Farhaan (40 off 44) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (33* off 16) being the only batters to offer any kind of resistance.

In response, India cruised to the target, scoring 131/3 inside 16 overs thanks to opener Abhishek Sharma’s early blitz (31 off 13) and captain Suryakumar Yadav’s knock of 47* off 37. Saim Ayub was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, taking all three Indian wickets.

As for the UAE, they won their most recent encounter against Oman. Batting first, the Emirati managed a competitive total of 172/5 in their quota of 20 overs. Muhammad Waseem (69 off 54) and Alishan Sharafu (51 off 38) led the way with their fifties.

In response, Oman were bowled out for 130 inside 19 overs, with Aryan Bisht finishing as their top scorer with 24 runs off 32 balls. Junaid Siddique was the pick of the UAE bowlers, taking 4/23 in his four-over spell, and was ably supported by Muhammad Jawadullah (2/18) and Haider Ali (2/22).

Though this is a decisive encounter, Pakistan are too strong in both batting and bowling departments as compared to the UAE. Their experience will further help them navigate the pressure of this fixture and come out comfortable winners.
