PointsBet joins as founding partner.
Major League Soccer team Austin FC have recently announced that they have signed an agreement with online gaming operator, PointsBet, which will see the firm join as a founding partner.
This is PointBet’s first MLS partnership, and the deal will see multiple promotional activities, giveaways and events in an attempt to boost engagement.
PointsBet will also become the club’s Sports Betting Partner and receive brand presence at Austin FC’s new Q2 Stadium, where it will also receive naming rights to the public bar, which will be renamed as PointsBet Sports Bar.
The Australian company will also receive full usage of Austin FC’s IP, marks and logos along with other branding collaborations.
Discussing the deal, PointsBet USA’s CEO, Johnny Aitken, said:
“Austin FC has excited global soccer fans and is setting a new standard for what it means to deliver for their supporters and their community by putting a laser-focus on experience. That’s exactly what we’re doing in the sports betting industry, and we simply couldn’t be more thrilled to align with the club in its inaugural season as a Founding Partner.
“We look forward to a future when our groundbreaking technology will be in the hands of Austin FC’s passionate and tech savvy fan base.”
This is the very first MLS deal for the Australian betting and gaming operator, though it already has a presence in the United States via its recent partnership with the National Football League.
