NBA superstar LeBron James’ son Bronny James has signed a name, image, and likeness (NIL) contract with Nike in order to be one of the chosen few high-school basketball players to get compensation.
LeBron Raymone “Bronny” James Jr. attends Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. The Bronny-Nike partnership demonstrates the young athlete’s immense potential, which is already garnering attention of the top brands.
The NIL agreement entails college athletes receiving compensation for their image and naming rights. Bronny, Caitlin Clark, Haley Jones, DJ Wagner and JuJu Watkins are the latest additions to the Nike team through NIL deals.
Bronny is in the process of deciding which college he will attend before making the much-anticipated move to the NBA. He is viewed by his high-school squad as a more seasoned offensive player with undeniable physical skills. He is somewhere in the top 40 for the 2024 Draft.
Congratulating his son on the NIL deal, LeBron James posted on his social media and said:
“The Legacy Continues On!! Congrats Young King!!“
Bronny James added:
“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family. Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild — it really means a lot to me.”
