Bryson DeChambeau: Brand endorsements | Investments | Charity work

Born on September 16, 1993, Bryson DeChambeau is a professional golfer from the US who competes in LIV Golf. The 2020 US Open is one of the many PGA Tour victories he has earned over his career.

DeChambeau won the US Amateur in the same year that he won the NCAA Division I title, making him just the fifth amateur in history to accomplish this feat.

Known for his analytical and scientific approaches to the game, DeChambeau has earned the title of “The Scientist”.

DeChambeau’s net worth is projected to be around US$14 million given his extensive list of sponsorship deals, career earnings on the PGA Tour, and his current role as captain of “The Crusher GC” in the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series.

CURRENT DEALS

OneStream Software

The collaboration between DeChambeau and UK-based OneStream Software, a pioneer in corporate performance management systems, was announced in 2021.

DeChambeau represents OneStream as a brand ambassador and sports its logo on the right sleeve of his golf shirt during PGA events as part of the agreement. He also takes part in other marketing and social media efforts to spread the word about the partnership.

DraftKings

DeChambeau inked an endorsement contract with daily fantasy sports and sports betting company DraftKings towards the end of 2020. As part of the multi-year agreement, DeChambeau carries out media, marketing and VIP duties for DraftKings, including teaching bettors how to play golf. He has also gone on to don the DraftKings logo on his infamous hat.

NetJets

Since 2018, DeChambeau has had in place a multi-year partnership with American private jet company NetJets. As part of the agreement, he wears the NetJets logo on his helmet and frequently promotes the company on social media.

JumboMax

Since he began playing golf as a junior, DeChambeau has used JumboMax X-Large grips on his clubs. He has also invested in JumboMax, having gone on to create the first Jumbo putter grip.

FlightScope

Back in 2016, FlightScope, a leader in recording and analysing sports performance data, teamed up with DeChambeau, who relies on the X3 model from FlightScope to help him practise for competitions and evaluate the implications of swing or equipment alterations as well as how his training programme affects his golf performance.

HD Golf

In 2018, golf practice simulator HD Golf established a cooperation with DeChambeau. He collaborated with the Canadian business because of its remarkable clarity and accuracy.

LocaliQ

Early in 2021, LocaliQ, a US-based marketing platform, collaborated with DeChambeau to expand its business in the golf sporting events.

Net Return

DeChambeau has been associated with Net Return since 2021, actively promoting it since then. Net Return is a golf simulator — the only golf net in existence that automatically gives the golfer their ball back.

Veritex

A cooperation between DeChambeau and state-owned Texas bank Veritex has been in place since 2019.

Past Sponsors

Cobra Puma

When DeChambeau turned pro in 2016, his contract with California-based golf manufacturing company Cobra Puma was already in place. The deal was reportedly worth around US$10 million. In addition to giving him personalised drivers, the company also produced a line of golf accessories in collaboration with him.

The partnership came to an end in 2022, when DeChambeau repeatedly complained in public about the equipment Cobra Puma was providing him with.

Bridgestone

Similar to Cobra Puma, DeChambeau and Bridgestone, a tyre manufacturer with headquarters in Japan, had been partners since 2016. When he agreed to a deal with LIV Golf last year, however, Bridgestone cancelled the endorsement agreement.

When the agreement was in place, along with the likes of Fred Couples and Tiger Woods, DeChambeau could be seen extensively in the marketing for Bridgestone and even used its golf ball.

Rocket Mortgage

After winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic on the PGA Tour in Detroit in 2020, DeChambeau signed on as a partner with Rocket Mortgage, a provider of mortgage loans with headquarters in Detroit, Michigan, in early 2021.

When DeChambeau signed up with LIV Golf, however, Rocket Mortgage terminated its sponsorship agreement with him.

Rolex

DeChambeau and luxury Swiss watchmaker Rolex teamed up in 2020. The same year, when he won his maiden US Open, DeChambeau was photographed wearing a Rolex Sky-Dweller on his wrist.

Bose

In 2019, DeChambeau worked with Bose, an American manufacturer and seller of audio equipment. He frequently used and promoted the brand both on and off the golf course.

Bentley

DeChambeau joined forces with Bentley Motors, a British luxury car and SUV designer, manufacturer, and marketer with headquarters in Crewe, England, in 2020. He could be frequently seen driving around in Bentley vehicles during his free time, while also tagging the company on his socials to help promote it.

Investments

Regency

DeChambeau teamed up with Long Drive pro Martin Borgmeier and fitness influencer Hogan Molthan in 2022 to launch a new content creation company and YouTube channel titled “Regency”, with the goal of inspiring a new generation of golfers to lead a healthier, fitter lifestyle.

Regency has a slogan: “Here to Entertain, Educate, and Inspire”. To that end, the trio has produced videos on a variety of topics, including scramble matches, PED myths, and watching fights in Las Vegas.

LA Golf

In 2018, Reed Dickens, the former CEO of Marucci Sports, rebranded his former business as LA Golf in partnership with DeChambeau. Dickens discussed how his collaboration with him resulted in the development of a new putter and expressed his belief that there was plenty of space for innovation in the realm of shafts.

In 2022, LA Golf launched the first-ever all-carbon putter head after acquiring SIK Golf.

Performance Inspired Nutrition

Performance Inspired Nutrition, a Pittsburgh-based health and nutrition company created by actor Mark Wahlberg, announced in February 2021 a new ownership union with DeChambeau as an investor.

As an investor, DeChambeau plays a key part in the company’s product development in addition to collaborating with Wahlberg to encourage others to adopt a more active and healthy lifestyle through exercise and diet.

A SHOC Energy

A SHOC Energy is a modern performance energy drink designed for today’s age. DeChambeau joined the US$29m Series B funding round for the company, which was headed by contributions from existing investors, strategic participants, well-known athletes and celebrities to fuel the brand’s explosive expansion.

With the help of its strategic sports and entertainment partners, A SHOC Energy aims to use the financing to grow its national sales staff, produce and share digital content, and keep developing the best goods in the market.

Proteus Motion

Proteus Motion is a multi-planar training device that combines magnetic 3D resistance and data-gathering software for improved functional power training.

In 2021, DeChambeau invested in the company. The US$3m seed round that he participated in valued Proteus at US$40 million.

Charity Work

Bryson DeChambeau Foundation

The primary objective of the Bryson DeChambeau Foundation, which DeChambeau established in 2022, is to support junior golf initiatives that will advance the sport, improve lives all over the world by partnering with top health organisations, and open up new avenues for students to pursue their academic interests.

National Kidney Foundation

In celebration of National Donate Life Month in April, DeChambeau teamed up with the prestigious National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Golf Classic in 2017 to organise the NKF Birdie Challenge. This event aimed to collect money for the National Kidney Foundation and support kidney health.

DeChambeau agreed to donate US$250 for each birdie and US$500 for each eagle he made on the PGA Tour in April as part of the Birdie Challenge, a social media and online event. He also encouraged his fans and followers on social media to take action by making their own pledges.
